Ex-Convict Struts Through Trenton With Loaded Assault Rifle: Police

A 38-year-old ex-convict was arrested with a loaded assault rifle slung over his shoulder, authorities said.

Trenton police said they found Joseph Moore walking along the 100 block of Turpin St. with the rifle and a high-capacity magazine containing 50 rounds of ammunition on Monday, June 10 at about 5:20 p.m.

He was charged with several weapons offenses.

As the detectives were on scene with Moore, Trenton Communications reported they had received several calls for shots fired in the area.

Two spent shell casings were recovered.

No persons were injured and no property was struck during this incident, police said.
